We Show It How.

In our 60-minute Neck Performance Evaluation & Treatment, you’ll leave with answers, hands-on treatment, and a real plan to fix your neck pain.

This Is For You If…

  • Your neck feels stiff, tight, or sore – making everyday tasks a struggle.
  • You feel pain, tingling, or numbness traveling into your shoulder, arm, or hand.
  • Neck pain flares up with lifting, overhead work, or certain exercises in the gym.
  • Neck pain builds throughout the workday and you’re paying for it by the evening.
  • You get headaches that seem to start at the base of your skull or the back of your neck.
  • You’ve tried massage, a new pillow, or stretching – and the relief never lasts.

What’s Included in Your Neck Performance Evaluation & Treatment.

  • Hands-On Treatment
Depending on what we find, treatment may include dry needling, cupping, or joint and soft tissue work targeted at what’s actually driving your symptoms.

Common Neck Pain Conditions We Treat.

Neck pain shows up differently for everyone. Whether you’ve been given a diagnosis or just know something isn’t right – we can help. Here are some of the most common conditions we see at our Crossroads clinic.

General Neck Pain & Stiffness

That tight, achy neck that won’t loosen up. Or the stiffness that makes turning your head a chore. We find what’s driving it and build your neck’s strength and mobility so it stops coming back.

Pinched Nerve
(Cervical Radiculopathy)

Pain, tingling, numbness, or weakness traveling from your neck into your shoulder, arm, or hand. A pinched nerve can be alarming, but most cases respond well to the right conservative care. We identify what’s irritating the nerve and build a plan to calm it down and keep it that way.

Disc-Related Neck Pain

A bulging or herniated disc in your neck can feel like a scary diagnosis, but most people improve without surgery. We help you understand what’s actually going on, reduce your pain, and rebuild your neck’s capacity to handle daily life and training.

Neck-Related Headaches

Headaches that start at the base of your skull or the back of your neck are often driven by the neck itself. If medication only takes the edge off, it may be time to address the source. We assess your neck and upper back to find what’s contributing and treat it directly.

Whiplash & Neck Injuries

Whether it was a car accident, a fall, or a sports collision, neck injuries can linger long after the initial event. We guide you through a structured recovery that restores motion, strength, and confidence in your neck.

Neck Pain From Desk Work

Long hours at a computer or behind the wheel don’t have to mean a sore neck by the end of the day. The issue usually isn’t your posture – it’s that your neck hasn’t been built to tolerate the demands you put on it. We change that.

What People in Our Community Are Saying

Real results from motivated people across Downtown Kansas City, the Crossroads Arts District, River Market, Midtown, and the greater Kansas City metro who refused to “just live” with pain.

I was preparing for a trip of a lifetime to Peru but my right hip threatened to spoil my planned hikes. I found TrueFix and Nate Vargas and in 4 short weeks he had me ready to roll. The trip and the hikes were fabulous! I highly recommend Nate and TrueFix.

Eric and Nate offer top-notch advice and practical exercises to help your health long-term, not just a band-aid approach. Highly recommended!

I’ve been to a couple of different physical therapy offices, but this one is by far my favorite! Eric and Nathan are both incredibly knowledgeable and personable. I’ve been working with Nathan for the past year, and my appointments are always tailored to my specific physical needs and focused on addressing the pain I’m experiencing. I truly appreciate all of their help, expertise, and the way they always make me feel so welcome. I’m so thankful to have found such a great team!

I cannot say enough positive things about my experience with Nate! With my pain being up and down depending on the week, he always meets me right where I am. Besides being incredibly knowledgeable, his kind personality makes every session feel personal and well thought out. Over the past few months, Nate has helped me better manage my pain levels and has given me the confidence to get back to doing the activities I enjoy. He takes the time to listen, and will adjust treatment based on how I’m feeling. I’m so grateful for all of his help and would highly recommend Nate to anyone looking for someone who genuinely cares about their patients’ progress.

I’ve had an excellent experience with TrueFix PT and Nate. Nate is knowledgeable, thoughtful, and takes the time to understand what’s actually contributing to an issue rather than simply treating symptoms. He explains what he’s seeing clearly, answers questions thoroughly, and provides practical exercises and strategies that feel tailored to my goals and activities. I’ve really appreciated his professionalism and the quality of care I’ve received. I would absolutely recommend Nate and TrueFix PT to anyone looking for attentive, individualized physical therapy.

Nate is an exceptional physical therapist. His knowledge, attention to detail, and ability to explain things clearly made a huge difference in my recovery journey. After struggling with confidence in my knee/ACL stability, he helped me rebuild not only strength, but trust in my body again. Every session felt purposeful, encouraging, and tailored to what I needed. On top of that, he’s genuinely easy to talk to and makes the entire process enjoyable. I can’t recommend him highly enough.

Just got home from my appt with Nate and it was absolutely phenomenal. He answered all my questions, explained everything and made sure I felt competent in what he has in mind for a treatment plan now and going forward. Finding out, that as one gets older, it’s the little issues that add up. Especially when you’re trying to regain previously lost ground, as far as your physical health and performance is concerned. A pain here, an ache there and then the questions start. Is this normal? Should this even be an issue at this point in life? Nate took his time, listened, asked all the right questions and had the answers that are right for me, my life and goals. This is the best of what I had thought PT was supposed to be.

When I met Eric last year, I had been dealing with recurring lower back injuries for over 10 years. My back pain dates back to 2012, and I was stuck in a frustrating cycle: I’d get hurt, stop working out for 2–3 months, start to feel better, return to activity, and then inevitably get hurt again. It felt like I was constantly managing setbacks instead of making real progress. What stood out immediately with Eric was his philosophy. Previous providers told me to simply avoid the exercises and activities that hurt my back, but those were the activities that were part of my life and things I enjoyed. Avoidance never felt like a real long term solution to me. Eric took a completely different approach. Instead of telling me to stop all together, he helped me build the strength, stability, and resilience needed to safely return to those activities and sustain them long term. Since working with Eric, I’ve seen major improvements not only in my pain levels, but in how quickly I recover and how confident I feel in my body. Recently, I had a lower back tweak that would normally have sidelined me for months. This time, I was pain-free within a week. That kind of recovery would have been unthinkable for me before, and I credit it to the durability and foundation I’ve built through his guidance. He’s also helped me completely reframe how I think about training and longevity. It’s no longer about pushing until something breaks and starting over—it’s about building a body that can handle life and stay strong for the long term. Furthermore, the scheduling system, email reminders, and use of the TrueCoach app make it easy to stay consistent and know exactly what to do. Communication is easy and Eric is always accessible when I have questions. I’ve recommended TrueFix to multiple friends and family members, and they’ve all had great experiences as well. If you’re dealing with chronic pain, recurring injuries, or want to build a stronger, more resilient body for the long term, I can’t recommend TrueFix Physical Therapy enough.
